What is a Mastermind Group and how can it help my business? |

A Mastermind Group is an alliance of two or more individuals dedicating themselves to a specific goal or goals.
Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, (the book that Bill Gates allegedly read before dropping out of university
and setting up Microsoft) first defined the mastermind as a "coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of
harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose."
Hill’s concept of the "Master Mind" was inspired by Andrew Carnegie, wealthy steel magnate. According to Hill:
“Mr. Carnegie’s Master Mind group consisted of a staff of approximately fifty men, with whom he surrounded himself,
for the DEFINITE PURPOSE of manufacturing and marketing steel. He attributed his entire fortune to the POWER he accumulated
through this "Master Mind."
Since the publication of Think and Grow Rich in the 1937, the idea of mastermind groups has grown and evolved to become
a staple tool of successful individuals.
The benefits of having a supportive mastermind group are plenty:
1. You have a group of people available to help you succeed.
2. You get the benefit of differing perspectives, input and feedback.
3. Your mastermind team can bring resources and connections to the table you might not have had on your own.
4. You receive accountability and inspiration from the group, thus enabling you to maintain focus in achieving your goals.
Napoleon Hill even went so far as to say there was a mystical quality created when a mastermind group was formed. He said:
"No two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened
to a third mind." (This force is what we know now as the Law of Attraction.)
In other words, your ability to create things in the world is increased by having that invisible “third mind” of the
mastermind group eg the added benefit of 'accumulated' energy.
There are two basic types of mastermind groups: One which is focused on the success and vision of one individual, and
one that is focused on helping everyone in the group and this is the Mastermind Group that Mind Managed Solutions
will be running, to harness the power of collective thinking for entrepreneurs and small businesses in the Whitstable
and Canterbury areas.
The Mastermind Group will be dedicated to helping each member achieve their personal goals, and during the course of a
meeting you can simply reach out to those members in your network and explain to them that you are seeking their help
as an advisor as part of your mastermind team.
Think about it! A sole trader or small company with the facility to have your own unpaid personal 'board of directors',
each an expert in their own field and individual talents; Your collective 'think tank', your 'rainstorming' group.
You would be surprised at how willing many people are to help when asked, since it is an honor to be asked for an advice or
an opinion and gives them a sense of contribution which in turn gives that ‘feel good’ factor (an essential in
attracting what you want if you are practicing Law of Attraction).

Is this a networking group or business breakfast club? |

No, this is not a networking group or business breakfast club which has the sole intention of giving its members the
opportunity to build their businesses by forming relationships with other business people. Normally members are
encouraged to be on 'the look out' for real opportunities in which to pass on to other group members eg networking
opportunities.
Although the Mastermind Group does give the opportunity to network and create business links between companies it is not
the overriding purpose as to why the group exists.
Being a member of a Mastermind support system for yourself and your business should be considered an essential part of
your business (and success) plan. As Napoleon Hill said:
"Analyze the record of any man who has accumulated a great fortune, and many of those who have accumulated modest
fortunes, and you will find that they have either consciously, or unconsciously employed the 'Master Mind' principle."

What is the format of the Mastermind Group?
The Mastermind Group will be run on a very relaxed basis which will be music to some of the ears of those individual who
have tried some of the regimented breakfast clubs and their insistence to produce a certain number of leads per week!
At the beginning of each session there will be 15 - 20 minutes of guided meditation run by Wendy Wilson. For all those
using Law of Attraction in their lives then this will form an essential part of their daily routine. Those members who
do not practice the Law of Attraction will also gain from the known benefits of meditation eg helps with focus and
concentration, increases creativity, increased feelings of vitality and rejuvenation, increased productivity and these are

After meditation each member (should they so wish) shares a challenge or question they have and the other members ask
questions, brainstorm, give ideas, suggest resources or thoughts to help out.
